Wow.
So here it is, in all its sneaky sneaky glory. The blog that will most likely result in my getting 'dooced'. I'm already considering anonym-izing it. I've had a blog before, and boy howdy did I write about work in it- I may even plagiarize my own writings soon - but even though I've admitted previous blog experience - I should also admit that I was never very good at it. I can't "link" to things. Or "post" things. Or "meme" whatever it is you smart people "meme".
Who is this paragon of ineptitude?
Well, I'm a 25 year old female, working as a 'project coordinator' at a hospital. It sounds pretty shiny and fancy- but surprisingly does not fulfill my need to be adored by all. Especially the snot nosed residents who I'm forced to deal with and who I'm sure you'll all become familiar with. Jealousy? Definitely. I'd always wanted to be a doctor- then first year came along and I met the twin sirens of no parental supervision and beer. Then second year came along and the sisters and I became well acquainted.. like SISTERS in fact. When the time came around for me to man up and do well (study THEN beer) the good average ship had sailed. I graduated with an Honours BSc in Biomedical Science and am still trying to figure out what to do and where to go with that. Alls I know is that I like science and the human body and the following are not for me but are encompassed by my current job description:
-statistics
-IT work
-dealing with residents who think that I am about as smart as mayonnaise
-people dumbing down medical terminology or scientific terms (it's can-SER)
-extensive periods of sitting with little human interaction
-long long LONG meetings
-reviewing protocol and procedure
-administration
So. There you have it. I need a new job and while I apply for some and schools and try to "be the change" etc etc.. I will ramble and post here.
Enjoy!
